Plant Growth-Promoting Potential of Entomopathogenic Fungus Metarhizium pinghaense AAUBC-M26 under Elevated Salt Stress in Tomato

چکیده

Entomopathogenic fungi Metarhizium species are generally employed to manage the soil-dwelling stage of insect pests, and known for their rhizocompetency property. Since this fungus is typically recommended use in soil, it could potentially be investigated as a bioinoculant reduce abiotic stress, such salinity, along with improved plant growth promotion. Salt stress tolerance potential native isolates was evaluated based on mycelial fresh weight, dry spore yield. All were found tolerate NaCl concentrations (50 mM, 100 150 200 250 300 mM) supplemented culture medium. anisopliae (AAUBC-M15) pinghaense (AAUBC-M26) effective at tolerating up mM NaCl. These two analyzed vitro growth-promoting traits elevated salt (100 NaCl). No significant effect IAA production reported isolate M. (39.16 µg/mL) or combination (40.17 (38.55 µg/mL). The salinity had influence phosphate solubilization activity, except co-inoculation treatment positive ACC deaminase enzyme activity. An increase concentration accompanied by steady chitinase Total phenolics (149.3 flavonoids (79.20 significantly higher filtrate NaCl, gradual decline documented proved promising reducing tomato seedlings during nursery stage. In pot experiment, comprising soil application + seedling root dip foliar spray resulted parameters under stress. This study shows that Metarhizium, well controlling biotic brought can also help plants cope salinity.

Antioxidant response of cowpea co-inoculated with plant growth-promoting bacteria under salt stress.

Soil salinity is an important abiotic stress worldwide, and salt-induced oxidative stress can have detrimental effects on the biological nitrogen fixation. We hypothesized that co-inoculation of cowpea plants with Bradyrhizobium and plant growth-promoting bacteria would minimize the deleterious effects of salt stress via the induction of enzymatic and non-enzymatic antioxidative protection. To ...

Influence of Pesticides, Plant Oils and Antagonist on Entomopathogenic Fungus, Metarhizium anisopliae

Compatibility of the entomopathogenic fungus, Metarhizium anisopliae with representative pesticides, plant oils and a fungal antagonist were studied in vitro. The pesticides tested were: endosulfan, acephate, abamectin, ethion, chlorothalonil, iprodion + carbendazim, thiophanate methyl and dinocap, an antagonist, Trichoderma harzianum and the plant oils: coconut oil, groundnut oil, gingili oil,...

Effect of Co-Application of Auxin-Producing Plant Growth Promoting Bacteria and Tryptophan on Wheat Growth under Water Stress Conditions

Auxin produced by plant growth-promoting bacteria (PGPR) in the wheat rhizosphere, can improve plant yield under water deficit stress condition. To investigate this issue, a completely randomized factorial design with three replications was conducted under greenhouse condition at the University of Maragheh, Eastern-Azarbayjan, Iran during 2019. Treatments were two types of growth-promoting bact...

Plant growth promoting bacteria effects on growth, photosynthetic pigments and root nutrients uptake of Avena sativa L. under drought stress

Drought stress is one of the most important factors affecting plant growth. Plant growth under drought stress may be enhanced by the application of microbial inoculation including plant growth promoting rhizobacteria. This research was conducted as a factorial experiment in a completely randomized design. The first factor included the bio-fertilizer (A. vinelandii (A)), P. agglomerans+ P. ...
